Once again, one e-mail this week. Well, all the info is here, so, well,
ok... Last week Arthur called the Last Exit to tell us he awoke to find
himself in Friend's Glove Box. Or a Glove Box for a car that Friend was
building, apparently a 1983 Zoltan. It was a strange conversation. Rub
showed up to tell us that he was opening a resturant. McGroin's. Yes, it
was confusing... On The Metalllic Onslaught, Jeffie had his arms ripped
off. Nothing all that new or surprising, I guess. He and Lance did form a
band. That lasted a minute or so...

Ok, so what is up this week? I have no idea if Shoebox will be returning to
The Metallic Onslaught this week or not. He apparently had a good time at
the WE! Fest, but he did not mention whether he would appear on the show to
talk about it. So, maybe... As for The Last Exit, we may have some of the
girls from The Iron Maidens calling up for a quick interview. If not this
week, then next week. See show listings below to see when you can see them
at The Haunt. And our feature artist will be Lillian Axe this week...

The Last Exit for the Metallic Onslaught - June 6, 2003
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm slacking on getting the Afterwards out for some reason, so for the 3rd
week in a row, here is a single combined e-mail for the week (in my defence,
I was buidling a new computer this week, successfully I may add)...  Shoebox
returned to The Metallic Onslaught last week after a week or two absence.
Normal chaos ensued.  We heard how bad the new Metallica was (some of you
may know I hate Metallica with a passion, and have for some time, but I was
sitting here listening to The Onslaught last week when they played the new
song.  I didn't know who it was, all I knew is that I honestly thought it
was one of the worst things I EVER heard, then I caught the St. Anger part
and it kind of reinforced my despise for the Lica crew...), we found out
that Shoebox can attach his bag to his head (see attached pic) and we found
out that he's funny even when half asleep.  Other than that, Jeffie did
stuff, got beat up for it, etc.  This week, I think he's been working on a
newsletter all his own which he will read on the air.  All I know is that it
was Shoebox's suggestion to him last week.  I have no idea if Shoebox will
be there this week or not...  You'll have to tune in and find out.
Last week was a quiet one on The Last Exit, one of the only things of note
was the fact that Arthur called again, this time because he escaped Friend's
glovebox and was driving the 1983 Zoltan.  He did not, however, know where
he was.  This week, well, I don't know what will happen.  I was going to
have The Iron Maiden's call, but we are going to move that up one more week
as I underestimated the # of Saturdays before they play the Haunt by 1.
Other than that, it should be a fairly normal show.  Unless...  Well, unless
by some chance Arthur finds his way there...  In which case I imagine he
wouldn't be a happy camper...  But then again, it's Arthur, what are the
chances of that?
I have been working on the webpage a bit, you can see new updated character
pages and such, mostly the Last Exit ones.  I will hopefully get the rest of
them done this coming week.  Some other things updated here and there as
well.  I also changed the link to join the mailing list.  If you click on
it, it takes you to the group page if you want to read any of the recent
e-mails.
The Last Exit for the Metallic Onslaught - June 14, 2003
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have satellite internet, and due to excessive cloud cover the last two
days, I have had NO INTERNET ACCESS. God, that sucked. But all is ok
again, I think, aside from the fact that something makes this computer
restart randomly... Yeah, nice. That's a future thing to fix, anyways...
Last week, I don't remember what happened on The Metallic Onslaught.
Something did, I'm sure Jeffie got beat, just like tonight, but tonight
Jeffie kicked some ass on Maurie, his attempted replacement from a few
months ago. Maurie actually creeps out Jeff. How is that possible...
These last two weeks, Jeffie has been reading his newsletter of what he does
each week. That's interesting. We know now that Jeff does not believe that
Monday exists, and that he thinks Sunday is 48 hours. He also appears to be
afraid of Frogs.

Rub made an appearance last week on The Last Exit, just after Arthur
returned. Arthur got the 1983 Zoltan up and running and found his way back.
I stabbed him with a fork, actually, 4 forks, and he seems to have liked it.
Attached is a picture of the attack. There are more for later as well...
Don't know if he will be back this week or not. Friend also showed up and
was apparently upset that Arthur stole the 1983 Zoltan. He left in a
huff...

So for this week, The Iron Maidens should be calling at some point, Rub said
he'd be back, have no idea about Arthur or Friend, GorGar should be there...
Skyclad (by multiple request) will be the feature artist... And we have
some really cool new stuff to play.

And on a last note, I dropped Zoltan an e-mail to see where he has been and
if we were going to see him again, and his response was - "Zoltan no
function midnight after well." This is as un-metal as you can get I think.
So, what can you do? E-mail him. Zoltan@thelastexit.org. Do it,
seriously, if you ever want to hear him on the air again, I think his old
bones are gonna need some encouragement...

The Last Exit for the Metallic Onslaught - June 21, 2003
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you may have noticed, I have kind of, at least for now, abandoned
the 2 e-mail a week thing we were doing for a while.  And lately, been
getting these out AFTER the Metallic Onslaught.  First one
intentional, second not, will work on that.  Anyway, Rub made a long
overdue appearence tonight on the Onslaught, and it was once again
established that Lance is apparently hot.  Maybe we need to put up a
new poll....
The attached pic is of GorGar with The Iron Maidens after the show on
Thursday night.  One of the songs live will definitely end up on the
next Best of Video/DVD that we will be doing.  So, for a brief show
review, The Iron Maidens, quite honestly, do Iron Maiden as good, if
not better than Iron Maiden, as scary as that may be.  Every one in
this band is amazingly talented, and it really is a Tribute to Iron
Maiden.  Hopefully they will be back in a few months again, and I
would highly encourage you to check them out if you didn't this time
around.  For now, go to www.theironmaidens.com to check out lots of
cool stuff on the band, history, pics, videos, etc... This was
seriously a great show and fun to watch.  We did a quick follow-up
interview afterwards to get some info on some of their other projects
which will be airing soon, possiblty tonight, and I may put both parts
up on the website in the near future (the phoner from last week as
well).  They were also incredibly nice to talk to and they spent a
LARGE amount of time talking to fans and signing everything after the
show.  Very cool.
Opening the show was Boiler, and of course, they put on a great show.
They did an hour set (Cold Ethyl cancelled) and played some new stuff,
which if the live tape came out well, we will play on the show in the
near future.  They will be recording some new material soon as well.
(www.boilerny.com).  Also, on July 7th, we should have Will and Brian
up to the studio to talk about the band and such...
BUT as for tonight on The Last Exit...  The time has come.  The return
to The Last Exit of...   Crappy the Clown.  Does anything more need to
be said?  www.crappytheclown.com.  If all goes well, he will be there
early and playing live one of his new parody songs.  And maybe are new
pal Al, who showed up last week for the first time will stop back in
and...  Well, who knows how he'll react to an evil clown.  Crappy will
be playing this Friday at the Haunt, on his 40th birthday.
Also, Never the Sunshine will be playing this Thursday at the Haunt in
their Ithaca debut, go see them.  Seriously.  They are great live.
(www.neverthesunshine.com)  They are on first, 9pm...
And of course, Worm Quartet will be at Castaways next Saturday.
(www.wormquartet.com)
Full show listings are below.
I think the feature artist this week may well be Heathen.  Classic Bay
Area Metal...
So, um, that's about all in my head right now.
